2004.9	school of pharmacy was founded, prof. hualiang jiang was appointed as the first dean.
2004.10	prof. dequan ren was appointed as the honorary dean.
2005.1	shanghai key lab of chemical biology (previous institute of pesticides & pharmaceuticals) joined the school.
2005.2	engineering center for modernization of traditional chinese medicine was established.
2005.3	the transfer of the green pesticide with independent intellectual property rights (invented by shanghai key lab of chemical biology)

2010.10	two new professional master programs: pharmaceutical science and traditional chinese medicine were approved.
